Packard's Eusarca Moth
Eusarca packardaria
The Eusarca packardaria, commonly known as Packard’s Eusarca Moth, is a medium-sized moth in the family Geometridae, recognized for its delicate appearance and muted coloration and subtle shading that provide excellent camouflage against tree bark and leaves. Adults are nocturnal and are often attracted to lights at night, while the caterpillars, known as inchworms, feed on a variety of deciduous trees and shrubs. This species is found across much of North America, where it contributes to forest ecosystems as both a pollinator and a food source for birds and other insectivores.
