Friseria acaciella
Friseria acaciella
The Friseria acaciella is a small moth belonging to the family Gelechiidae, commonly found in parts of the southern United States, Mexico, and Central America. It is recognized by its narrow, mottled forewings, which are typically a mix of brown, gray, and cream tones, providing excellent camouflage against bark and dried leaves. Adults are usually active from spring through fall and are attracted to lights at night, though they are inconspicuous during the day due to their cryptic coloration.
