The genus Hypercompe is a group of strikingly patterned tiger moths belonging to the family Erebidae and subfamily Arctiinae. Often white or pale-colored, adorned with black or dark gray spots or blotches in intricate patterns. Adults typically do not feed, focusing their energy on reproduction.
