Black-tipped Ptichodis
Ptichodis vinculum
The Black-tipped Ptichodis (Ptichodis vinculum) is a moth belonging to the family Erebidae. This species, like others in the genus Ptichodis, is nocturnal and is found primarily in the Americas. The forewings are brownish-grey with intricate wavy patterns, which help in camouflage. During the day, it rests on tree bark, leaves, or other surfaces where its cryptic coloration blends well with the surroundings.
