Tetracneminae is a subfamily within the family Chalcididae, a group of small wasps in the superfamily Chalcidoidea. This subfamily, like other members of the Chalcididae, consists of parasitoid wasps, meaning they parasitize the larvae or pupae of other insects. Wasps in the Tetracneminae subfamily have well-developed, relatively large heads with prominent compound eyes.
