SUPERFAMILY PAPILIONOIDEA

Pale Emesis

Emesis vulpina

Emesis vulpina, commonly known as the Pale Emesis, is a delicate metalmark butterfly in the family Riodinidae. As its name suggests, it is one of the lighter-colored species in the genus, with a more subdued appearance than many of its relatives. The wings are typically pale orange, tan, or light copper, marked with fine, thin lines and bands that create a soft, intricate pattern. Compared to darker Emesis species, the contrast is lower, giving it a more washed or delicate look
