The genus Dynamine is a diverse group of small to medium-sized Neotropical butterflies within the family Nymphalidae. Species of Dynamine occur from Mexico and the Caribbean through Central America and much of South America, inhabiting tropical forests, woodland edges, secondary growth, river corridors, and gardens. These butterflies are often recognized by their distinctive wing patterns, which commonly combine white, cream, orange, yellow, black, and brown markings in intricate geometric designs. Many species exhibit sexual dimorphism, with males and females differing noticeably in coloration and pattern.
