Genus Callimormus is a genus of grass skippers in the family Hesperiidae and the tribe Moncini, distributed throughout the Neotropical region from Mexico and Central America to South America. These butterflies are generally small to medium-sized, with dark brown to orange-brown wings marked by pale spots, streaks, or subtle patterns that aid in identification. Like many skippers, they have robust bodies, hooked antennae, and a rapid, darting flight. Species of Callimormus inhabit tropical forests, woodland edges, secondary growth, and tropical dry forests, where adults visit flowers for nectar and often rest on low vegetation.
