Genus Pellicia is a genus of Neotropical skipper butterflies in the family Hesperiidae, occurring from Mexico and Central America through much of tropical South America. These butterflies are generally small to medium-sized, with dark brown to black wings marked by contrasting white, cream, or translucent spots and bands. Like other skippers, they have robust bodies, hooked antennae, and a rapid, darting flight. Pellicia species are typically found in tropical forests, woodland edges, secondary growth, and tropical dry forest habitats, where adults visit flowers for nectar and often perch on low vegetation in sunny clearings.
