Genus Quasimellana is a small genus of Neotropical grass skippers in the family Hesperiidae, occurring from Mexico through Central America and into parts of South America. These butterflies are generally small and rather inconspicuous, with brown to dark brown wings marked by subtle pale, yellowish, or translucent spots. Like other skippers, they possess stout bodies, hooked antennae, and a rapid, darting flight that keeps them close to grasses and low vegetation. Quasimellana species are typically associated with grasslands, tropical dry forests, woodland edges, and disturbed habitats, where adults visit flowers for nectar and perch on low plants in sunny areas.
