Genus Cycloglypha is a small Neotropical genus of skipper butterflies in the family Hesperiidae, found from Mexico through Central America and into parts of South America. These butterflies are generally small to medium-sized, with dark brown to black wings marked by subtle pale, yellowish, or translucent spots. Like other skippers, they possess stout bodies, hooked antennae, and a rapid, darting flight. Cycloglypha species are most often encountered in tropical forests, woodland edges, secondary growth, and tropical dry forest habitats, where adults visit flowers for nectar and perch on low vegetation in sunny clearings.
