Ululodine Split-eyed Owlflies
Ululodini (Tribe)
Owlflies resemble dragonflies but have more prominent, clubbed antennae. Long, slender bodies and large, colourful compound eyes. Wings are typically transparent, often with intricate venation and patterns. Adults are aerial predators, catching small insects in flight. Larvae are ground-dwelling and ambush predators, hiding in soil or leaf litter and preying on smaller arthropods.
