Dragonflies and Damselflies (Order Odonata)
The Wandering Glider is characterized by its golden-yellow to reddish-orange body, red eyes, and long, wide wings. It is a powerful flier that breeds in temporary pools and other fishless bodies of water, often following weather patterns for its extensive travels. Hunts insects like mosquitoes, termites, and beetles, and a single dragonfly can eat over 1,000 mosquitoes a day.
