The Rose Flower Urchin (Toxopneustes roseus) is a species of venomous sea urchin belonging to the family Toxopneustidae. It is known for its beautiful appearance and potent venom. Despite its delicate look, this urchin is highly toxic and can deliver painful stings through specialized structures called pedicellariae. It is pink, lavender, or rose-colored hues, often with white or yellowish tinges. Short, stubby spines covered by soft, petal-like structures, giving it a flower-like appearance. Found in tropical and subtropical waters of the eastern Pacific Ocean, including the coasts of Mexico, and Central America.
