Behaviorally, the Redlight Goby is a benthic, bottom-dwelling fish, often seen hovering just above the substrate or darting into small crevices when threatened. Like many gobies, it is a planktivore, feeding mainly on tiny crustaceans, larvae, and other zooplankton.
