On the Pacific coast of Mexico, flatworms in the genus Paraplanocera are reported in warm, shallow reef and rocky habitats, especially in areas with good invertebrate diversity. They are typically found under rocks, on reef rubble, or crawling over sponges and tunicates. The bodies are very flat, smooth, and leaf-like.
