The White-nosed Coati is a species of mammal found primarily in the tropical forests of Central and South America. They have a wide range, stretching from Mexico to Argentina. These animals have an omnivorous diet, consisting of fruits, insects, small mammals, and birds. They are typically active during the day and in the evening, and can often be seen in groups. With a long, slender snout, small ears, and a ringed tail.

Diet
Omnivorous, feeding on fruits, berries, seeds, insects, spiders, crabs, snails, frogs, lizards, bird eggs, small mammals, and carrion.
Uses its long, flexible snout and strong claws to dig through leaf litter, rotting logs, and soil in search of food.
Diet varies seasonally, with fruit becoming especially important when abundant.
Range
Found from southern Arizona and New Mexico (USA) through Mexico, Central America, and into northwestern Colombia.
Widespread throughout Mexico, including the Pacific coast and the Zihuatanejo region of Guerrero.
Occurs from sea level to approximately 3,000 m (9,840 ft).
Habitat
Inhabits tropical dry forests, tropical rainforests, cloud forests, pine-oak forests, mangrove forests, woodland, and scrub.
Also adapts well to secondary forests, agricultural areas, parks, and forest edges.
Sleeps in trees at night but spends much of the day foraging on the ground.
