Chiton albolineatus
Chiton albolineatus
Chiton albolineatus inhabits rocky intertidal and shallow subtidal zones, where it clings tightly to rocks, often in wave-exposed areas. Using its powerful adhesive foot, it can withstand strong surf. Like other chitons, it feeds by grazing on algae and microscopic organisms, scraping them from rock surfaces with a hardened radula.
