Cargida is a small genus of prominent moths in the family Notodontidae. Found primarily in the southwestern United States and Mexico, these moths are medium-sized with a wingspan of roughly 35 to 45 millimetres and possess a cryptic, mottled grey and brown appearance that allows them to blend seamlessly into tree bark. Mostly nocturnal with robust bodies and tent-folded wings when at rest.
