Acacesia Orbweavers

Acacesia (Genus)

Acacesia Orbweaver primarily feed on insects, catching them in their webs. Like other orb-weavers, they usually operate at night, repairing or rebuilding their webs as needed. Acacesia is commonly recognized by the distinctive "V"-shaped marking on its abdomen. These orbweavers are typically active during the warmer months and are often observed resting head-down in the center of their webs, waiting to ambush flying insects.
