The Bonnetina tarantulas belong to the genus Bonnetina, a group of tarantulas native to Mexico. Bonnetina tarantulas are generally calm and less defensive than some other tarantula species. They may flick urticating hairs when threatened but rarely bite unless provoked.
They are primarily nocturnal and spend much of their time in burrows or hidden in natural crevices.
