Curicaberis culiacan

Curicaberis culiacan is a species of spider in the family Sparassidae, commonly known as huntsman spiders, and is native to regions of Mexico. Like others in its family, this spider is characterized by its long legs, flattened body, and sideways crab-like movement, which allows it to move quickly and navigate narrow spaces. Curicaberis culiacan is typically nocturnal and does not build webs to catch prey; instead, it actively hunts insects and other small arthropods. Its coloration tends to be earthy or subdued, helping it blend into its surroundings such as bark, leaf litter, or crevices. Although relatively large and fast-moving—traits that can be intimidating—this spider is harmless to humans and plays an important role in natural pest control.
