Frigga pratensis is a species of jumping spider belonging to the family Salticidae, a group known for their exceptional vision and agile, leaping hunting behavior. This species, like other members of its genus Frigga, is primarily found in grasslands and open habitats.

Description

• Curicaberis culiacan is a species of jumping spider in the family Salticidae. Like other jumping spiders, it has prominent forward-facing eyes, excellent vision, and strong legs adapted for jumping. It hunts by visually locating and stalking small prey rather than using a capture web. Detailed species-specific information on its colouration and behaviour is limited.

Range

• Curicaberis culiacan is a Mexican huntsman spider (family Sparassidae) described from near Culiacán in Sinaloa, north-western Mexico. It is native to Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, and the surrounding area.

Habitat

• Its precise habitat preferences are not well documented. As a member of the huntsman spider family, it is likely to be a free-roaming hunter associated with ground cover, rocks, woody debris, or vegetation rather than a spider that builds a prey-catching web.

Diet

• Curicaberis culiacan is presumed to prey on small insects and other arthropods, as do other huntsman spiders. It likely locates prey by moving through its surroundings and captures it with its legs and fangs.
