Snowy Egret

The Snowy Egret is a small white heron with black bill, black legs, and yellow feet. he head, neck and back have long lacy plumes during breeding season. Diet includes fish, crabs, crayfish, frogs, snakes, insects, snails, worms, lizards,. rodents. Will often forage for food, walking or running in shallow water, also standing still and waiting for prey to approach. They may stir the bottom sediments with their feet to startle prey into motion.
