Chiomara mithrax, commonly known as the Mithrax Skipper, is a small to medium-sized butterfly in the family Hesperiidae. Like other skippers, it has a compact, robust body, hooked antennae, and quick, darting flight. This species is found in Mexico and Central America, inhabiting tropical forests, edges, and clearings. Adults are often seen perching on leaves or flying rapidly through vegetation, occasionally visiting flowers or feeding on moisture from soil and organic matter.
