The Guava Skipper (Phocides lilea), also known as the Bloody-spot Skipper, is a striking and relatively large butterfly in the Hesperiidae family. It is characterized by its iridescent, near-black upperside adorned with metallic blue or green streaks and a distinctive orange-gold head. Its most defining feature is the pair of vibrant red or orange spots located on the leading edge of its forewings, while the wing fringes are typically white.
