It is known for its understated brown coloration and distinctive elongated "tails" on its hindwings. True to its name, it is primarily plain brown on both the upper and lower wing surfaces. Unlike many similar species, it usually lacks any white apical patches or transparent marks on the forewings. They frequent seasonal lowland tropical forests, forest edges, clearings, and disturbed areas like roadsides and gardens.
