Tribe Cyrestini is a tribe of brush-footed butterflies within the family Nymphalidae that includes the daggerwing butterflies, particularly those of the genus Marpesia. Daggerwings are named for their distinctive hind wings, which often bear long, narrow tail-like projections resembling daggers. These butterflies are found primarily in tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, where they inhabit forests, woodland edges, river corridors, and gardens.
