GENUS CURVIE

Genus Curvie is a genus of metalmark butterflies in the family Riodinidae. The type and currently best-known species is the Curve-winged Metalmark, which occurs from southern Texas and Mexico into parts of Central America. Adults are small butterflies with orange-brown to reddish wing coloration marked by dark lines and spots, typical of many metalmarks. They inhabit tropical dry forests, thorn scrub, woodland edges, and open habitats, where they often perch on low vegetation or visit flowers and damp ground for nutrients.
