Genus Antigonus is a genus of medium-sized skipper butterflies in the family Hesperiidae. These butterflies are typically brown to dark brown with subtle pale markings or translucent spots on the wings, and they exhibit the rapid, powerful flight characteristic of skippers. Antigonus species are most often found in tropical dry forests, woodland edges, scrub habitats, agricultural areas, and other open or semi-open environments. Adults frequently visit flowers for nectar and may also obtain minerals from damp soil.
