Genus Glutophrissa is a small genus of white butterflies in the subfamily Pierinae of the family Pieridae, distributed from the southern United States and Mexico through Central America, the Caribbean, and much of tropical South America. The genus is best known for the Tropical White, a graceful butterfly characterized by predominantly white wings that often show subtle dark markings near the tips and margins. Males are typically pure white, while females may display more extensive dark patterning. These butterflies inhabit tropical dry forests, woodland edges, gardens, agricultural areas, and open habitats, where they are strong, active fliers and frequent visitors to flowering plants.
