Thunbergia grandiflora, commonly Bengal Trumpet vine, clock vine, sky vine or sky flower, is a woody-stemmed, evergreen, tropical, twining climber. The most commonly seen varieties are sky blue to light violet although there is a white flowered type as well. Flowers bloom year round Leaves are leathery and have a distinctive elongated heart shape. All parts of this plant are used medicinally, with each part having different medicinal applications. This plant is reportedly used as an antidote for poisons and drugs, including the treatment of drug addiction. The plant has also been reported to have antioxidant, anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic properties.
