CLASS AVES
Thick-billed Kingbird
Tyrannus crassirostris
This is a large kingbird with a very thick bill. Dusky brown upperparts. White throat, pale gray breast, pale yellow on belly and undertail coverts. Forages by observing from a perch and flying out to capture insects in mid-air. They will also occasionally glean insects from vegetation foliage and branches. They are found in a variety of open woodlands and woodland edges.
