Euschistus servus, commonly known as the brown stink bug or harvest stink bug, is a species of stink bug in the family Pentatomidae. It is recognized for its pest status in agricultural settings, particularly in soybean and corn crops. Its body is light brown to tan with a somewhat shiny appearance. The back is often smooth with some darker spots on the edges. As a typical stink bug, Euschistus servus produces a foul-smelling chemical from specialized glands located near its abdomen when it is disturbed or threatened. This odor serves as a deterrent to predators.
