Chinavia marginata is a species of stink bug in the family Pentatomidae. It is native to parts of the Americas and is typically found in warm, vegetated habitats such as forests, gardens, and agricultural areas. Chinavia marginata feeds using piercing-sucking mouthparts that tap into plant tissues to extract sap. It may feed on fruits, seeds, and stems of various plants, and some populations can become minor agricultural pests if present in high numbers. When disturbed or handled, it releases a characteristic defensive odor from specialized scent glands—hence the common name “stink bug.”
