Pachycorinae is a subfamily of jewel bugs in the family Scutelleridae. These bugs are closely related to stink bugs but are distinguished by their greatly enlarged scutellum, which covers most or all of the abdomen, giving them a rounded, beetle-like appearance. Like other true bugs, they feed using a piercing-sucking rostrum, primarily on plant juices, seeds, and developing fruits.
