The Mandarin Nica (Nica flavilla), also commonly known as the Little Banner, is an attractive brush-footed butterfly that serves as the sole member of its genus. It is primarily recognized for its upperside, which features a bright tawny or orange-brown hue. This small species ranges widely from Mexico across Central America down to Bolivia and Paraguay. It typically inhabits tropical rainforests and humid deciduous forests at altitudes below 1,500 meters.
