Cogia calchas
-
Cogia calchas, commonly known as the Mimosa Skipper, is a small butterfly in the family Hesperiidae. It belongs to the genus Cogia, often called pyramid skippers due to their angular wing shape and posture. The Mimosa Skipper is found in Mexico and Central America, usually in dry forests, scrub, and open woodland habitats. It is often seen perching quietly on leaves or making short, quick flights between resting spots.
