Genus Cogia is a genus of small to medium-sized spread-wing skippers in the family Hesperiidae. Members of this genus are typically dark brown or greyish-brown with intricate pale markings, translucent spots, and mottled wing patterns that provide excellent camouflage when resting. Unlike many skippers, Cogia species often hold their wings flat when perched, giving them a characteristic spread-wing appearance. Adults inhabit tropical dry forests, woodland edges, scrublands, gardens, and disturbed habitats, where they visit flowers for nectar and bask on leaves or bare ground.
