Ostrinotes keila is a species of hairstreak butterfly in the family Lycaenidae. It ranges from Mexico south to Colombia. Like many other hairstreaks, it features thin, thread-like tail filaments on its hindwings accompanied by bright eyespot markings. This creates a "false head" at the rear to confuse predators into attacking the wrong end.
