Pyrisitia proterpia
The Tailed Orange (Pyrisitia proterpia) is a small butterfly in the Pieridae family, named for the short "tails" on its hindwings and its orange coloration. It is a migratory species found in the Americas, particularly in warm and tropical regions. The upper side of the wings is bright orange in males, often with dark brown or black borders; females may be paler and more yellowish.
