Subfamily Coliadinae is a widespread and diverse group of butterflies within the family Pieridae, commonly known as the sulphurs and yellows. These butterflies are typically small to medium-sized and are recognized by their bright yellow, orange, or white coloration, often accented with black wing borders or spots. Coliadinae occur in a wide variety of habitats, including grasslands, deserts, agricultural fields, forests, and mountain meadows.
