TRIBE EUBAGINI

EUBAGINI - TROPICAL BRUSHFOOT BUTTERFLIES - GENUSES

In Mexico, members of Tribe Eubagini are represented primarily by species in the genus Dynamine. These are generally small to medium-sized butterflies that inhabit tropical forests, woodland edges, and disturbed habitats from lowlands to foothills. Unlike many brightly colored brushfoots, Eubagini species often display a combination of black, brown, white, orange, or metallic markings that can be surprisingly subtle. Adults are fast-flying and frequently visit flowers, moist soil, and decaying fruit.
