Tribe Leptocircini is a group of swallowtail butterflies (family Papilionidae) represented in Mexico by several elegant species commonly known as kite swallowtails. These butterflies are characterized by their slender bodies, elongated wings, and distinctive long tails that give them a graceful, gliding appearance in flight. Found mainly in tropical and subtropical forests, woodland edges, and river corridors, Leptocircini species often fly high in the canopy but may descend to visit flowers or damp ground.
