Genus Eurytides is a genus of graceful swallowtail butterflies in the subfamily Papilioninae of the family Papilionidae, distributed from the southern United States and Mexico through Central America, the Caribbean, and into South America. Often known as kite swallowtails, these butterflies are distinguished by their elongated hindwing tails, elegant wing shape, and striking patterns of black, white, cream, yellow, or greenish markings. Their flight is light and gliding, often resembling that of a kite drifting through the forest.
