Family Cladophoraceae
Family Cladophoraceae is a family of filamentous green algae within the class Ulvophyceae and order Cladophorales. Members of this family are characterized by their branched, multicellular filaments composed of large cylindrical cells containing numerous nuclei and a reticulate (net-like) chloroplast. These algae occur in a wide range of habitats, including marine, freshwater, and brackish environments, where they often form dense mats or tufts attached to rocks, shells, aquatic plants, or other substrates.
