Euphorbia dioeca (Royal Sandmat), is a low-growing, prostrate annual herb native to a range spanning from the southwestern United States (specifically Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas) through Mexico and into tropical America. Like other members of its genus, it produces a caustic, milky white sap that can be irritating to the skin. Its unique flowering structures, known as cyathia feature cream to pink petal-like appendages.
