Order Vitales is a small order of flowering plants (angiosperms) represented primarily by the family Vitaceae, which contains about 1,000 species distributed throughout tropical, subtropical, and temperate regions of the world. They are characterized by long, flexible stems, tendrils that enable climbing, palmately veined leaves, and clusters of small, often greenish flowers that develop into fleshy berries.
