Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) comes from the family of Pedalliaceae and the genus Sesamum. Plant height is 100 cm, with white, light pink or light purple flowers. Worldwide, it is used for its nutritional, medicinal, and industrial purposes. The seeds are small and off-white in color. They may be eaten whole or ground.
