Solanum torvum (turkey berry, devil’s fig) is a common weedy shrub native to tropical America that has naturalized throughout the tropics and subtropics worldwide. It invades roadsides, pastures, disturbed sites and waste areas forming dense thickets that can rapidly overtop herbaceous plants and other shrubs.
